Confederate Statue Vandalism! Will it Ever End!?

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. - The Confederate soldier statue that has dutifully stood watch over the Loudoun County Circuit Court and grounds since 1908 was a victim of vandalism!

The statue was designed by F.S. Sievers and dedicated to the courthouse in 1908. It serves as a memorial to the many Rebel soldiers who died fighting for the cause in which they believed.

A Dominion Power employee found the gun barrel from the statue in the parking lot of the Colonial Funeral Home and notified the police department. The gun barrel was carefully collected and placed into the Leesburg Police evidence room pending the rightful return to the Soldier.
