From 1876-1941, Confederate Soldier’s Reunions were held at Brighton, Covington, and Glenn Springs. The great American cavalry general, Nathan Bedford Forrest, made his last public address to his Confederate comrades of the 7th Tennessee Cavalry at Covington in 1876.
